Recently, the Hunan Provincial Health Commission published the list of approved 2026 health research projects (provincial-funded) on its official website. The project led by Furong Laboratory, with Shenzhen Cell Valley Biopharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. as a participating partner—"Research on Key Technologies for Intelligent TCR-T Cell Therapy in Glioblastoma Based on Single-Cell Immune Profiling"—was successfully approved as a key project, with Professor Wu Minghua serving as the project leader.

This successful project approval represents another important advancement for the Cell Valley Group in the fields of TCR-T cell therapy, precision tumor immunotherapy, and intelligent cell preparation technologies. It also reflects the Group's continued commitment to deepening collaborative innovation with high-level research platforms and advancing the clinical translation of cutting-edge cell therapy technologies.

This project will focus on key technological breakthroughs in precision immunotherapy for glioblastoma. Furong Laboratory will primarily be responsible for single-cell immune profiling of glioblastoma and TCR antigen screening, while Shenzhen Cell Valley will focus on innovative TCR-T cell process development, efficacy enhancement, and toxicity reduction research. The two parties will leverage their respective strengths in basic research, target discovery, cell therapy technology development, and process translation to establish a collaborative research system spanning single-cell immune profiling, tumor antigen and TCR screening, and TCR-T cell manufacturing process optimization and functional enhancement.

In recent years, the Cell Valley Group has continuously built out its technoloy platforms for CAR-T, CAR-NK, TCR-T, and other cell and gene therapies, while strengthening collaborative innovation with universities, research institutes, medical institutions, and national and provincial research platforms. This key project approval will further advance the Cell Valley Group's R&D accumulation and result translation in solid tumor cell therapy and TCR-T technology systems.

Going forward, the Cell Valley Group will take this project approval as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation with Furong Laboratory, accelerate key technological breakthroughs and translation of research outcomes, and continue exploring more precise, more effective, and safer novel tumor cell therapy technologies, contributing to the innovative development of China's cell and gene therapy field.

About Professor Wu Minghua

Wu Minghua, M.D., Ph.D., is a second-level researcher and doctoral supervisor. She currently serves as Vice President of Hunan Normal University, previously served as Deputy Director of Furong Laboratory, and holds concurrent positions as Vice Chairperson of the Jiu San Society Hunan Provincial Committee and Standing Committee Member of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). She is a recipient of the Ministry of Education's New Century Excellent Talents award, an Elsevier China Highly Cited Scholar, and has been honored with the National March 8th Red Banner Pacesetter award. She has long been engaged in research on the etiology of brain gliomas, focusing on tumor suppressor genes, epigenetics, tumor biomarkers, and TCR-T cell immunotherapy. She has led over 20 national-level projects, including the National 973 Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, with many of her research outcomes advancing toward clinical translation.
