"Shenzhen Biopharmaceutical Industry Major Public Service Platform and Core Technology Breakthrough Special Funding Project Publicity List"

Recently, the Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission announced the list of funded projects under the Shenzhen Biopharmaceutical Industry Major Public Service Platform and Core Technology Breakthrough Special Funding. Shenzhen Cell Valley's one-stop Cell and Gene Therapy CRO/CDMO Service Platform – South China Cell Factory project was approved as a Shenzhen Biopharmaceutical Industry Major Public Service Platform, receiving tens of millions of yuan in project funding. This project is the only cell and gene therapy CRO/CDMO service platform among the 13 major public service platforms approved by the city. The South China Cell Factory project had previously been awarded the Shenzhen 2022 Major Project Certificate.

Spring is on the horizon, and the future holds promise. In 2022, with the attention and support of leaders from Shenzhen and Pingshan District, as well as experts and scholars from all sectors, all employees of Shenzhen Cell Valley worked together in unity, forging ahead with determination, and rapidly expanding their talent teams. Shenzhen Cell Valley actively collaborated with authoritative institutions at all levels on the formulation of cell therapy and testing standards, providing talent cultivation and research capability support. In terms of research collaboration and business development, the company established deep partnerships and signed strategic cooperation agreements with multiple pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and research institutions. Additionally, Shenzhen Cell Valley completed the full acquisition of Guangdong Junhou Biomedical Co., Ltd., and commenced the interior renovation of the South China Cell Factory project and the expansion of Junhou Bio's Zone B facility in the second half of 2022. In February 2023, the South China Cell Factory and Junhou Bio's Zone B facility were fully completed. By then, Shenzhen Cell Valley will have a CRO/CDMO service platform spanning over 7,000 square meters, with B+A, C+A, and other GMP-compliant industrial-scale production lines for retroviral vectors, lentiviral vectors, AAV, non-viral vectors, and cell products including CAR-T, CAR-NK, CAR-M, MSCs, and Astrocytes. The platform also provides safety testing, product efficacy testing, and support services for IIT and IND applications for cell products and their raw materials.

Looking back at 2022, Shenzhen Cell Valley achieved qualitative leaps in business development, pipeline R&D, facility expansion, and project applications, reaping fruitful results:

3.Signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Shenzhen Institute for Drug Control, the National Medical Products Administration Drug uation and Inspection Center (Greater Bay Area Branch), Lu Daopei Medical Group, Peking University Shenzhen Hospital, Fosun Kite, Enkaisai Pharmaceutical, Kelun Biotech, and other enterprises and institutions

4.Completed full acquisition of Guangdong Junhou Biomedical Co., Ltd.

5.Subsidiary Junhou Bio obtained ISO system certification

6.Junhou Bio was named among the "Top 50 Innovative Biotech Enterprises in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" for the third consecutive year

7.Junhou Bio was approved for the 2022 Ninth Batch of Innovative Research Team Projects and support funds, as well as rent and renovation subsidies in Zhongshan, and subsidies for the establishment of the Guangdong Provincial Postdoctoral Workstation
