On the afternoon of February 15, Chairman Professor Shi Yuanyuan, Chief Scientist Professor Wang Jianxun, and Assistant to the Chairman Wei Zheng visited the Lu Daopei Medical Group Beijing Lu Daopei Hospital for exchange and discussion. Lu Peihua, Executive Medical Dean of Lu Daopei Hospital and President of the Beijing Lu Daopei Institute of Hematology; Zhao Yi, Vice President and Director of the Lu Daopei Medical Group; Yang Hao, General Manager of the Marketing Department; and Cai Peng, General Manager of the Hubei Stem Cell Bank and Wuhan Daopei Placental Stem Cell Biotechnology Co., Ltd., extended a warm welcome and held a symposium.

During the symposium, Chairman Shi Yuanyuan introduced the rapid development of Shenzhen Cell Valley over the past six months, including achievements in innovative cell product R&D, breakthroughs in viral vector technology, the construction of an auxiliary filing platform, and improvements to talent cultivation mechanisms. Leveraging the geographical advantages of the Greater Bay Area, the company has established deep collaborations with multiple clinical research institutions, research organizations, testing facilities, regulatory agencies, and pharmaceutical companies in South China.

Dean Lu Peihua noted that the Lu Daopei Medical Group currently possesses mature capabilities in cell culture technology and clinical research services. She emphasized the importance of leveraging each party's strengths—utilizing the cell culture technology advantages of the Lu Daopei Medical Group's Hubei Stem Cell Bank, Shenzhen Cell Valley's industrial-scale production capabilities, and the clinical research service strengths of the Lu Daopei Medical Group. By pursuing differentiated development and seeking breakthroughs in manufacturing processes and viral vectors, the parties can achieve complementary growth.

Both sides expressed their commitment to taking this exchange visit as a new opportunity for upstream, midstream, and downstream collaborative cooperation. They aim to promptly resolve technical barriers encountered in early-stage work and simultaneously advance multiple new product R&D pipelines, driving the innovative development of new cell therapy products based on retroviral vector technology. This collaboration is expected to spur technological innovation and rapid growth in the domestic cell therapy industry.

Following the meeting, guided by Dean Lu Peihua, the Shenzhen Cell Valley team toured the Beijing Lu Daopei Hospital. Chairman Professor Shi Yuanyuan highly praised the hospital's achievements in humanistic culture, environmental design, and corporate image.

About the Lu Daopei Medical Group
The Lu Daopei Medical Group was founded in 2012 by Academician Lu Daopei as a private medical group specializing in the treatment, research, and education of blood diseases and oncology. After more than a decade of dedicated effort, the group has expanded to include four medical institutions: Hebei Yanda Lu Daopei Hospital, Beijing Lu Daopei Hospital, Beijing Lu Daopei Hematology Hospital, and Shanghai Daopei Hematology Hospital (currently under construction).
The Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Center at Lu Daopei Hospital is one of the most active transplantation centers internationally. The number of hematopoietic stem cell transplants performed annually accounts for nearly 10% of the national total, with the number of refractory/relapsed and salvage transplants ranking among the top in China. This has enabled haploidentical transplants to achieve outcomes comparable to unrelated and matched sibling transplants. In 2021, the hospital performed 1,168 transplant cases: 843 haploidentical (over 72%), 167 unrelated donor transplants, 128 matched sibling transplants, 10 unrelated cord blood transplants, and 18 autologous transplants.
