On May 23, a delegation from the Medical and Health Branch of the Shenzhen Youth Science and Technology Talent Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Medical and Health Branch") visited Shenzhen Cell Valley for exchange. The delegation included Chen Jie'an, Party Branch Secretary of the Beipu Center and Pingshan Center of Shenzhen Bay Laboratory; Cheng Yi, Senior Head of the Shenzhen Branch of Zhejiang BrainCo Technology Co., Ltd.; Huang Feijuan, Researcher at Shenzhen Second People's Hospital; Huang Jingzhou, Medical Director of Shenzhen Guangyu Biotechnology Co., Ltd.; Jiang Hequn, Chief Physician of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department at the South China Hospital Affiliated to Shenzhen University; Liu Boxun, General Manager of Huaqing Zhimei (Shenzhen) Biotechnology Co., Ltd.; Wang Jun, Program Director at Shenzhen Polytechnic; and Zhang Lijun, Biotechnology Program Mentor at Shenzhen Polytechnic. Shenzhen Cell Valley Chairman and President of the Medical and Health Branch Shi Yuanyuan, Chief Scientist Wang Jianxun, Assistant to the Chairman Wei Zheng, Director of the General Administration Office Luan Zhishi, and Deputy Head of R&D Sun Rui extended a warm welcome.

Assistant to the Chairman Wei Zheng led the delegation on a tour of Shenzhen Cell Valley's smart exhibition hall, introducing the founder team, industry prospects, corporate culture, development history, and platform development. A symposium was subsequently held.

During the symposium, participants from the medical and health field actively exchanged views and discussed directions and approaches for jointly promoting industry development.

Shi Yuanyuan, President of the Medical and Health Branch and Chairman of Shenzhen Cell Valley, stated that the vision of the Medical and Health Branch is to create a platform for communication, exchange, and resource sharing for young talent striving in Shenzhen, as well as for universities, institutions, enterprises, and individuals in the medical and health field. It aims to broaden the horizons of talent in related fields and continuously promote industrial upgrading and achievement translation. At the same time, as an emerging field, biomedicine requires strengthened industry-academia-research cooperation and focused talent cultivation, which will become an important safeguard for promoting the high-quality development of the cell and gene therapy industry. As a major public service platform for Shenzhen's biopharmaceutical industry, Shenzhen Cell Valley will enhance university-enterprise cooperation, assisting basic research talent in developing more high-quality translational projects with market demand and broad application prospects. When universities pass the baton of talent cultivation to enterprises, Shenzhen Cell Valley will provide further training, clarify talent cultivation goals, help talent realize their own value, form a comprehensive talent cultivation mechanism, and elevate the professional level and technical strength of the entire industry.

Zhong Chengzi, Secretary-General of the Medical and Health Branch, stated on behalf of the Secretariat that the Association will fully leverage its bridging role to help resolve issues in enterprise resource matching and exchange cooperation, help enterprises break down barriers, promote scientific and technological innovation exchanges, and achieve cross-domain resource integration. Yu Yuanzhi, Secretary-General of the Shenzhen Youth Science and Technology Association, expressed affirmation and expectations for the work of the Medical and Health Branch on behalf of the Association.

The exchange visit concluded successfully, with all participating units enhancing mutual understanding, laying a solid foundation for future win-win cooperation and jointly promoting high-quality industry development.

About the Shenzhen Youth Science and Technology Talent Association

The Shenzhen Youth Science and Technology Talent Association was approved by the Shenzhen Civil Affairs Bureau and established in May 1996.
