On the afternoon of March 10, our Chief Scientist Professor Wang Jianxun, Deputy Head of R&D Sun Rui, and Executive President Yang Borui of subsidiary Junhou Bio visited Nanjing Bioheng Biotech Co., Ltd. for exchange and discussion. Dr. He Xiaohong, Founder of Bioheng, extended a warm welcome and held a symposium.

During the symposium, Chief Scientist Professor Wang Jianxun introduced Shenzhen Cell Valley's business scope, existing R&D and production pipelines, including breakthroughs in retroviral vector technology, the construction of an auxiliary filing platform, and the improvement of GMP talent cultivation mechanisms. Leveraging the geographical advantages of the Greater Bay Area, the company has established deep collaborations with multiple clinical research institutions, research organizations, testing facilities, regulatory agencies, and pharmaceutical companies in South China. Professor Wang stated that Bioheng is a leader in the domestic development of universal CAR-T therapies, and Shenzhen Cell Valley is willing to join forces with the Bioheng team to link the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Yangtze River Delta region, jointly creating a new ecosystem for retroviral vector-based cell therapy.

Dr. He Xiaohong, Founder of Bioheng, provided a comprehensive introduction to the company from perspectives including organizational structure and R&D pipelines. He noted that Bioheng is committed to original innovation in universal CAR-T therapies, possesses strong R&D capabilities and a robust R&D team, and has been deeply engaged in the U CAR-T field for many years. The company currently has one U CAR-T product in IND clinical trials, which currently uses lentiviral vectors. However, given Shenzhen Cell Valley's advantages in industrial-scale retroviral vector production, Bioheng will certainly explore retroviral vectors in future R&D pipelines. Collaboration between the two parties would undoubtedly be mutually beneficial—not only in the cell product preparation stage but also in assisting with IND filing and drug approval processes. The two sides engaged in lively discussions on the cost advantages of retroviral vectors, production and quality system architecture, and hardware conditions such as cleanrooms. Both parties expressed their commitment to leveraging their respective strengths, integrating resources, building a full industry chain, driving continuous innovation in domestic retroviral vector-based cell products, and leading globally.
